Oman announce squad for ACC U-19 Asia Cup Western region Qualifiers

Wasim Ali will lead Oman U-19 team in the upcoming Asian Cricket Council (ACC) U-19 Asia Cup Western region Qualifiers, to be held from Oct 30th – Nov 7th in Malaysia. Mohammed Mohsin Qureshi has been named as the vice-captain for the team.

Oman are placed in Group A along with U-19 teams from UAE and Bahrain while Group B comprises of U-19 teams from Iran, Qatar, Kuwait and Maldives.

After playing their first match against Bahrain on November 2, Oman will take on the UAE in a crucial group game on November 4. The group phase will be followed by the two semifinals on November 6 and the final the next day at Kinrara Oval. There is only one qualification spot available from the regional qualifiers into the main draw of ACC U-19 Asia Cup, which will be played from Nov 9th – 20th in Malaysia as well.

Oman U-19 squad: Wasim Ali (Captain), Mohammed Mohsin Qureshi (Vice-captain), Adeel Abbas, Harith Raghuram, Harikeshav Pramodu, Mohammed Saqib, Ubaid Ullah, Varishab, Vikram Nabira, Sanin Nisar Fahad, Nawed Abdulmajeed Al Balushi, Prathamesh Santhosh Kumble, Vivek Shreeraman Iyer, Rashid Ali Khan Malik.

Reserve players: Ashik Sony, Mohammed Sameer, Zuhair Maula Bakhsh Al Balushi, Arul Sajeevkumar.
