Oman announce squad for 2018 ACC Emerging Nations Asia Cup

After a successful campaign in the recently concluded ICC World Cricket League Division 3 tournament held at home, Oman are set to take part in the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Emerging Nations Asia Cup Dec 06th – 15th, to be jointly co-hosted by Pakistan and Sri Lanka, with a 15-member squad announced by the selectors for the event.

Oman are scheduled to play their group phase matches in Sri Lanka where they are placed in Group B alongside India, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan. Oman qualified along with Hong Kong and UAE in the tournament based on their top 3 finish in the 2018 ACC Asia Cup qualifiers held in Malaysia.

The Associate member nations (Hong Kong, UAE and Oman) are allowed to send their senior side to play in the tournament.

Zeeshan Maqsood (Captain), Khawar Ali, Jatinder Singh, Aqib Illyas, Ajay Lalcheta, Twinkal Bhandari, Jay Odedra, Suraj Ks, Nester Danem, Muhammad Nadeem, Bilal Khan, Fayyaz Butt, Kaleemullah, Sindo Moonamchery & Wasim Ali
