Oman men’s national squad headed to UAE for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifiers with utmost confidence in themselves as they remained unbeaten throughout the 5-nation T20I series held at home, as they won the games against Ireland, Netherlands, Hong Kong and Nepal.
Ireland managed to win their final game against Nepal to finish 2nd on the points table, with their only loss coming against the host’s. Nepal, who had the most horrendous of outings in the final game of the series against the host’s, finished 3rd in the overall points table, with 2 wins to their name. Netherlands broke their loss-spree in the tournament, as they won the final game of the series against Hong Kong, who in turn remained winless in the tournament.
The tournament was the final preparatory assignments for all the team’s except Nepal, and with conditions at Al Amerat to somewhat be similar to what is expected in UAE during the qualifiers, the team’s will be happy with the outcome of the matches during the tournament (both positive and negative).
