HEBOU PNG Barramundis have announced a 14-member squad for the upcoming tour of UAE, which includes their final round of WCL and I-Cup matches.
The tour starts of with 2 ODI’s against Scotland, against whom they faced in their penultimate WCL and I-Cup rounds in PNG.
The ODI’s are scheduled for 24th and 25th November, 2017 before PNG take on Hong Kong in the Round 7 ICC’s Intercontinental Cup from 29th Nov – 2nd Dec in Sharjah Cricket Ground and World Cricket League Championship matches on 6th & 8th Dec at the ICC Academy.
Papua New Guinea are tantalizingly close to Netherlands in the WCL Championship, trailing by only 2 points and a good finish on top will get them the coveted 13th spot in the newly constituted ICC ODI League from 2019-2021.
They have already guaranteed their spot in the ICC World Cup Qualifiers to be held in Mar 2018 in Zimbabwe.
