Cricket PNG selectors have announced the HEBOU Papua New Guinea U-19 squad to compete at the 2018 ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup in New Zealand from 13th Jan to 3rdFeb, 2018 last week.

The team will leave Port Moresby on Friday on 5th Jan  and will start their World Cup campaign with two practice matches against the West Indies (8thJan) and hosts New Zealand (10th Jan).

PNG are placed in a tough group with Zimbabwe (13th Jan), India (16th Jan) and Australia (19th Jan) being their group phase opponents. Top 2 from the group will advance to the quarters.

The squad had a preparatory tour of Brisbane, where they played 2 matches each against Queensland U-19 & U-15 representative teams towards the build-up for the World Cup.
