Peter Borren and Kevin O’Brien to coach Denmark for Germany T20 series

In a major development, Dansk Cricket (Denmark) Board have announced that Ireland International, Kevin O’Brien and former and now retired Netherlands captain Peter Borren, will be joining the National squad coaching staff of Denmark ahead of their T20 series against Germany in Jul 2018 in Copenhagen.

Borren and Kevin will assist Head Coach, Jeremy Bray, as they play the 5-match T20 series from 23rd – 25th Jul, 2018 at Svanholm Park ground. For Germany and Denmark’s schedule in ICC World T20 Europe Qualifiers, click here.

Borren will further stay with the coaching staff with Denmark in their campaign in the upcoming ICC World T20 Europe qualifiers in Netherlands. Borren’s hands on experience of Dutch conditions will be vital to Denmark’s preparations for the ICC Tournament.

Germany and Denmark will be competing in the same group in the ICC World T20 Europe Group A qualifiers in Aug/Sep 2018 in Netherlands and Kevin’s expertise in white-ball cricket and being an T20 circuit player over the years in England’s T20 Blast and CPL T20 will bring in added experience to his coaching skills, as Denmark look to progress from the European qualifiers into the main World T20 qualifiers.

Germany have recently announced their 18-member squad for the tour and the details can be found here. Denmark, recently secured their promotion to ICC World Cricket League Division 3 in the Division 4 tournament held in Malaysia and will be confident heading into the T20 format of the game.
