Cricket PNG (Papua New Guinea) have announced the schedule for both Men’s and Women’s Isuzu Smash T20 tournament in March/April/May 2024 at Amini Park cricket ground in Boroko. Men’s competition will take place from March 29th – April 13th, with the National team returning back from their Asia tour to join their respective squads, while the Women’s competition will take place from April 20th – May 04th, after the Women’s team returns back from their overseas tours of Zimbabwe and UAE.
The four franchises (Cassowaries, Mariners, Black Bass and Mudmen) have been allocated five (5) PNG Internationals and four (4) players in the U19 category in both Men’s and Women’s squads. Further four (4) more spots in each squad will be allocated after the second draft, and is open for players either born in PNG or holding a PNG passport, and will have to nominate themselves from April 16th – 23rd at the Cricket PNG website. The Board, along with Boroko Motors and Naming Rights sponsor Isuzu, have also announced that the tournament will be broadcast live on EMTV (📺) and FM100 (📻).
