PNG players get season running with POMCA Premier T20 competition

After a lengthy break following the conclusion of ICC World Cup qualifiers in Mar 2018, Papua New Guinea players (International and Domestic) have started their 2018 domestic season with ITI Port Moresby Cricket Association (POMCA) Premier Men’s competition.

PNG have some time on their hands before their next assignment in Aug 2018, when they travel to Fiji for ICC East Asia-Pacific qualifiers for WorldT20. They have also roped in Tom Coyle as assistant coach to work alongside National head coach Joe Dawes with the Barramundis.

With 6 additional ovals (2 ovals at the University of PNG, 2 at Sir Hubert Murray and one each at Pari and Kilakila) being made available with assistance from Cricket PNG, POMCA is also looking to start the 40-overs competition this year after the T20 tournament gets over.
