Cricket Russia have announced the start of 2021 domestic season for men’s, with the annual Russian Cricket Cup beginning from 15th May 2021 at the Iskra stadium in Moscow. Six domestic teams will compete for the trophies, which will be played in T20 and 30-overs formats, and will conclude in September. The tournaments are being sponsored by Shishkin Les company (cone-forest.ru), general water sponsor of the Cricket Russia.
Imperial Cricket Club, RusBangla Cricket Club, Moscow Victorians Cricket Club, United Cricket Club, Gujrat Kings XI Cricket Club and Panther Cricket Club are the domestic clubs in Russia. Moscow Victorians are the defending Champions from the 2020 Russian Cricket Cup event.
Cricket Russia also signed a MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) with Uzbekistan Cricket in December 2020, and are expected to host a team from Uzbekistan to come over to Moscow and play few exhibition games against the domestic clubs in T20 format. The T20 Russia Cup competition has started from 31st July 2021, and will run until mid-September.
