Rwanda & Uganda look to upstage Kenya

Kenya Women’s Team have so far dominated in the “Kwibuka Cricket for Peace” Women’s T20 tournament, being held at Gahanga Oval in Kigali, Rwanda.

Host’s Rwanda and Uganda Women’s (U19) team’s are currently playing catch-up after winning one match each between themselves, having lost their first group match against Kenya Women’s Team each.

The final day of group action sees Kenya Women’s Team play a game each against Rwanda Women’s and Uganda Women’s team (U19) team. Top 2 team’s will contest the final on 10th Jun 2018.

Rita Musamali and Immaculate Nakisuyi from Uganda (U19) lead the run-scoring charts with 76 and 64 runs respectively after 3 games, followed by Veronique Iriho and Diane Bimenyimana (both Rwanda) and Queentor Abel (Kenya) to round off the top 5.

Jane Francis Baluka and Immaculate Nakisuyi from Uganda (U19) lead the wicket-takers list with 4 wickets, with Baluka having played one game less. Veronique Iriho and Diane Bimenyimana (both Rwanda) sit behind them in the charts with 3 wickets each from as many matches.
