Asian Cricket Council (ACC) have announced the schedule of the upcoming Western region Qualifiers for ACC U-19 Asia Cup, to be held in Malaysia from Oct 30th – Nov 8th.
U-19 teams from UAE, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Iran & Maldives will take part in the event for the lone qualification spot available for the main tournament.
The tournament was originally scheduled to be held in Kuwait; however, due to political tensions in the gulf region, the event was moved to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
UAE, Oman & Bahrain are placed in Group A, whereas Kuwait, Qatar, Iran & Maldives are placed in Group B. Selangor Turf Club & Club Aman will hold the group matches & semi-finals, whereas the Final will be held at Kinara Oval in Kuala Lumpur.
Western Region Qualifiers Schedule:
Oct 31st: Kuwait U-19 vs Maldives U-19; Qatar U-19 vs Iran U-19
Nov 1st: UAE U-19 vs Bahrain U-19; Maldives U-19 vs Iran U-19
Nov 2nd: Kuwait U-19 vs Qatar U-19; Oman U-19 vs Bahrain U-19
Nov 3rd: Qatar U-19 vs Maldives U-19; Kuwait U-19 vs Iran U-19
Nov 4th: UAE U-19 vs Oman U-19
Nov 6th: Group A1 vs Group B2; Group B1 vs Group A2
Nov 7th: Final
