Schedule announced for 8-nation ACC U19 Asia Cup Western Qualifiers in UAE

Asian Cricket Council (ACC) have announced on their website that UAE will host the 8-nation U19 Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Western regional qualifiers from Apr 26th – May 03rd, 2019.

U19 team’s from UAE, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Iran and Maldives will take part in the tournament, which will be played in the 50-overs format. The winner of the qualifiers will join the main draw of both 2019 and 2020 editions of ACC U19 Asia Cup to be held in Sri Lanka and UAE respectively.

U19 team’s of Kuwait, Oman and UAE, who will be part of ICC U19 World Cup Asia Division 1 qualifiers in Malaysia from Apr 12th – 18th, will have the opportunity to play back-to-back U19 tournaments. All matches in the ACC Western qualifiers will be held at UAE – Dubai International Stadium, Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Eden Gardens Ajman, ICC Academy Dubai and Sevens Cricket Ovals Dubai.

UAE, Bahrain, Iran & Saudi Arabia are placed in Group A, while Kuwait, Maldives, Oman & Qatar are placed in Group B of the tournament. After the end of the group phase, top 2 team’s from each group will qualify for the semi-finals. All matches will start at 10am local time.
