International Cricket Council (ICC) have announced the schedule for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifier in the United Arab Emirates from Oct 18th – Nov 02nd, 2019. 14 countries (6 direct qualifiers from ICC T20I team rankings as on 31st Dec 2018 + UAE as host’s + 7 qualifiers from regional tournaments) will be competing in the event to stake claim on the 6 qualifying spots available towards 2020 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Australia.

The team’s are divided into 2 groups of 7 each, with Group A to comprise of Scotland, the Netherlands, PNG, Namibia, Singapore, Kenya and Bermuda, while Group B will have UAE, Ireland, Oman, Hong Kong, Canada, Jersey and Nigeria. The top team from each group will advance to the semi-final of the tournament and also securing their spots into the T20 World Cup, while three more teams from each group will feature in qualification play-offs to determine the other four qualifiers.

All matches in the tournament will be official T20I matches and will carry ranking points towards ICC Men’s T20I team rankings.
