Cricket Scotland have announced that the newest Test nation Afghanistan will be touring them in May 2019 to play two ODI matches. The two matches will be held on 8th and 10th May 2019 in Edinburgh at the Grange. Afghanistan last visited Scotland in 2016 to play two ODI matches as well at the Grange.
Scotland have already confirmed two ODI matches against Sri Lanka at home on 18th and 21st May 2019 and with ICC CWC League 2 to start around Jul 2019, the International calendar for 50-overs matches already looks a busy one and further matches for their home summer are also expected to be arranged at the start of 2019.
Scotland have already had success against Afghanistan in 2018, having defeated them in their group stage encounter during 2018 ICC World Cup qualifiers in Zimbabwe in Mar 2018.
