Scotland Cricket has arranged for a 2-match ODI series against Papua New Guinea in late November to prepare for their Intercontinental Cup match against Ireland and 2 crucial WCL matches against Kenya in November/December in UAE.
All countries involved in both ICC Intercontinental Cup & WCL Championship will be in UAE in November/December for the final round of matches (Round 7).
The two ODIs against PNG take place on the 24th and 25th November at the Dubai International Stadium prior to Scotland taking on Ireland in the 4 Day I-Cup event (starting on the 29th November) and the final two WCLC matches against Kenya on the 6th and 8th of December.
Scotland require atleast one win from the two games against Kenya to ensure direct qualification to the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier in Zimbabwe in March 2018. Kenya, on the other hand, need to win both matches to finish in top 4.
Whilst Scotland take on Kenya in the final round of the WCLC, The Netherlands play Namibia and PNG take on fourth placed Hong Kong (14 pts). Nepal cap off their Championship matches against UAE, both of whom, will be in action again in the ICC WCL Division 2 in Namibia in February 2018.
