Shpageeza’s team to compete in 6-Team Abu Dhabi T20 Trophy in Oct 2018

Afghanistan’s domestic T20 tournament, Shpageeza’s franchise team, Boost Defenders, will be taking part in the inaugural 6-Team Abu Dhabi T20 tournament, set to take place at Sheikh Zayed International Cricket Stadium from Oct 04th – 06th, 2018.

Pakistan Super League (PSL) Team Lahore Qalandars, Hobart Hurricanes from Australia’s KFC Big Bash League (BBL), England’s Vitality Blast Team Yorkshire Vikings, Afghanistan’s Shpageeza Team Boost Defenders and South Africa’s Ram Slam Team Multiply Titans have been confirmed to take part in the tournament. The tournament is the brainchild of Abu Dhabi Cricket (ADC), along with the support from Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC).

The 6th team in the tournament hasn’t been announced yet and will be updated shortly by the organisers. West Indies T20 global star, Chris Gayle, has been confirmed to play for Boost Defenders in the tournament. Three teams will be part of 2 groups and the top team from each group after the conclusion of the group phase will contest the Final on 06th Oct 2018.
