In a major scoop for Singapore Cricket, Chetan Suryawanshi has been roped in as the emerging nation (Associate) player as a mandate for HKT20 Blitz regulations for the franchises.
All teams are required to have a player from an emerging nation (Associate) in their squads for the 3rd edition of HKT20 Blitz. Chetan’s signing marks a significant effort on Cricket Hong Kong’s part to spread the growth of Cricket in the region.
Galaxy Gladiators have thus completed their signings for the 3rd edition with returnees in Kumar Sangakkara (Sri Lanka) & James Franklin (New Zealand) along with new recruits in Seekkuge Prasanna (Sri Lanka), Cameron Delport (South Africa) and Jofra Archer (England).
Galaxy Gladiators Lantau would be hoping for better returns in the 2018 edition after lacklustre performances in the previous 2 editions of the T20 League.
Chetan, a former Maharashtra U16 player is the current Captain of the Singapore national men’s squad and recently his co-owned company, SportsKingdom, also took the onus of managing the MS Dhoni Cricket Academy in Singapore.
