Host’s Spain dominated opening day’s action in the La Manga T20 Tri-series including registering their maiden men’s T20I win over Malta. Spain triumphed over Estonia XI in their other match from the day.
Malta also registered a win of their own over Estonia XI in the opening match of the day, which saw all the three matches being played at La Manga club ground. The Tri-series is a three stage round-robin format tournament being played from Mar 29th – 31st, 2019.
Yasir Ali of Spain scored his country’s maiden T20I half-century in their game against Malta, as Spain chased down the target of 99 set by Malta in under 13 overs.
