KFC Big Bash League franchise, Melbourne Stars head coach David Hussey has confirmed that Nepal’s Sandeep Lamichhane will represent the team in BBL09. The details of his signing in terms of his availability are being worked out, should he again take up a stint in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL T20) in 2020.

Sandeep Lamichhane played 7 matches for Melbourne Stars in BBL08, claiming 11 wickets at 17.72 apiece, but had to leave the league mid-way due to a pre-existing deal in Bangladesh Premier League. He returned back later during the end-stage of the tournament.

David Hussey confirmed the development to The Age.
