Afghanistan’s leg-spinning sensation, Rashid Khan has been retained by IPL franchise, Sunrisers Hyderabad, who used their Right-to-Match card to bag him for INR 9 Crores from the winning bid by Kings XI Punjab.
Rashid went for a bidding frenzy as Kings XI Punjab and Delhi Daredevils started the bid from his base price of INR 2 Crores. Delhi left the pursuit after he reached around INR 5 Crores but Royal Challengers Bangalore entered the fray to fight with Kings XI Punjab.
The bidding reached INR 9 Crores when Royal Challengers withdrew from further bidding and Kings XI Punjab were awarded the winning bid. However, Sunrisers Hyderabad used their final RTM card to retain his services for 2018 VIVO IPL.
