Suri & Mayappan rout Nepal in their final match of pre-tour in UAE

UAE Blues managed to win the final match of Nepal’s pre-tour to Dubai as they defeated them by 64 runs at ICC Academy.

UAE rode on Chirag Suri’s enterprising knock of 85 runs from 102 deliveries as held one end up while Nepal bowlers kept picking wickets from the other end to reduce them to 102/6 at one stage of the match. Atirur Rahman (33 off 41) and Ali Mirza (42 n.o off 48) played good cameo’s down the order to save UAE Blues the blushes as they reached 215/9 in their 50 overs.

Sompal Kami (3/56) & Lalit Bhandari (2/46) were the pick of the bowlers for Nepal with Paras Khadka, Basant Regmi & Sandeep Lamichhane picking up a wicket each.

Nepal lost regular wickets as batsmen were not able to construct bigger partnerships to take the match close as they got bowled out for 151 in 38.5 overs to lose the match by 64 runs, eventually.
