The 2021 domestic season has started in Sweden in the men’s category, with 2021 Swedish Cup T10 competition from June 28th – July 17th, 2021.
The T10 tournament provides all the clubs the opportunity to also prepare for the T20 competition, which will start from the first week of July 2021. Similarly for Women’s, the cricket board organized a 7-team (Alby Zalmi, DIF, Göteborg CC, Karlskrona CC, Lund CC, Malmöhus CC, Norrköping CC and Trident) Women Championship T10 tournament at Gothenburg on June 19th – 20th, 2021. The Women’s national squad will play a bi-lateral WT20I series against Norway later this year.
SCF have also announced the launch of the first ever Junior Premier League (JPL), which will be held at Norsborg, Stockholm from July 05th to July 10th, 2021. An U19 junior national squad will be announced after the completion of the tournament, with SCF awaiting decision from Denmark Cricket Federation (DCF) regarding the postponed U19 quadrangular tournament also featuring teams from Netherlands and Germany, which was originally scheduled from July 12th – 16th.
