Champions in the inaugural Heera T10 League in Sharjah, Kerala Kings, have announced that for the next edition of the tournament, the team management will be looking to add players from Afghanistan, Nepal & other Emerging (Associate) nations in their squad.

With the announcement made a few days ago by the League organisers, the number of teams to compete in the next edition has been increased to 10 from the existing 8 for the inaugural edition, played in Dec 2017.

England captain Eoin Morgan, who marshalled the Kerala Kings troops onto the field in the first edition, will be handed the responsibility to spot good talents from the regions of Afghanistan, Nepal & other Emerging nations, if he is available to play in the next edition.

T10 League organisers have already announced that the number of UAE players mandatory in the playing XI would be increased from 1 to maximum 2 for the next edition to provide more exposure to UAE players to contribute towards the games. The inaugural edition did not see much of the talent on display from the UAE players due to short duration of the matches, which lasts for maximum 90 minutes.

With immense talent available in Afghanistan & Nepal, and T10 being a format the players from these countries can excel in, it will be a big opportunity for them if selected to play for the defending champions of the tournament.
