Qatar Cricket and Malaysia Cricket to host 2024 T20 World Cup Asia sub-regional qualifiers

Qatar Cricket Association (QCA) and Malaysian Cricket Association (MCA) will be hosting the sub-regional qualifiers for the Asian region, which is the pathway event towards qualification for the Asia Finals for 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in the West Indies and USA.

The sub-regional “A” group tournament will be held from September 28th – 05th October in Qatar, while sub-regional “B” tournament will be held from July 26th – 01st August in Malaysia. National teams from Kuwait, Maldives, Qatar and Saudi Arabia will be competing for 1 qualification spot from “A” group into the Asia Finals, while National teams from Bhutan, China, Malaysia, Myanmar and Thailand will be competing for 1 qualification spot from “B” group into the Asia Finals. The winners of both the sub-regional events will join teams from Bahrain, Hong Kong, Nepal, Oman, Singapore and Oman in the Asia Finals, where there will be two (2) qualification spots on offer into the main event of the T20 World Cup.
