BCA will be hosting the Men’s National teams of Kenya, Sierra Leone, Rwanda, Mali, Cameron and Cote D’ivoire in the tournament, from which the top two (2) teams will advance to the next qualification pathway event in 2027 at the end of the single round-robin group stage format.

For Ivory Coast, this tournament would be their 2nd ever International assignment, having made their T20I debut during the 2026 edition Africa Sub-regional qualification pathway event in November 2024. The team will be playing their first-ever T20I game against the likes of Kenya, Mali, Rwanda and Cameroon during the tournament. Kenya will go in as one of the favorites’ for the two (2) qualification spots, with the major challenge expected to come from the likes of Botswana, Sierra Leone and Rwanda.

]]> Botswana Men on tour of Zimbabwe to prepare for Africa sub-regional qualifier https://czarsportzauto.com/2022-botswana-tour-of-zimbabwe/ Tue, 25 Oct 2022 06:21:13 +0000 https://czarsportzauto.com/?p=35539 Men’s National squad of Botswana are currently on tour to Zimbabwe, where they are playing a series of five (5) T20 matches against Zimbabwe’s domestic franchise, Tuskers (Select XI) at Bulawayo Athletic Club ground from October 22nd – 27th, 2022. The tour is part of the preparations for the national squad ahead of their visit to Rwanda from November 15th – 24th, 2022 for 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Africa sub-regional qualifier A event.

The National squad had competed in the inaugural edition of Africa T20 Cup in September 2022 and will be well prepared to compete against the likes of Cameroon, Eswatini (Swaziland), The Gambia, Ghana, Kenya, Lesotho and Malawi for two (2) qualification spots from the sub-regional event into the Africa Finals in 2023.
