Cyprus Cricket to host Finland Men for T20I series in May 2026

Cyprus Cricket Federation (CCF) will be hosting the Men’s National team of Finland for a four (4)-match T20 International series (with ICC Men’s T20I team ranking points) on May 08th and 09th, 2026 at the Happy Valley Ground in Episkopi. This will be the maiden bi-lateral series arrangement done by the boards, as Cyprus Men’s team will conclude their preparations towards the 2028 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Europe Sub-regional Qualifier A at home in May.

Finland Men, who themselves will be the host Nation in Europe Sub-regional Qualifier C in August, will begin their International season with this series. Both the Teams have met only once in T20Is till date, and that came during the European Sub-regional Qualifier in July 2022 in Finland.

Having already hosted the Austrian Team for a T20I series in March, Cyprus Men have prepared well for this home event, where they will face the tournament favorites, Jersey, in their group.

Cyprus Host Greece in Maiden Women’s T20I Bilateral Series

European associate cricket continues to quietly expand its footprint, and in early April 2026, a new chapter will be written as the Cyprus Cricket Federation hosts the Hellenic Cricket Federation Women’s National Team for a six (6)-match WT20I bilateral series. The series would be known as Aphrodite Cup.

Set to be played between April 03rd and 05th, 2026 at the Happy Valley Ground, this series will mark:

The first-ever Women’s T20I meeting between Cyprus and Greece
The first bilateral series between the two boards
A crucial ranking points opportunity in the global T20I structure

A Series Beyond Rankings

As per the latest ICC Women’s T20I rankings (25th March 2026), both teams sit outside the Top 40, and more importantly:

They are currently not part of the Women’s T20 World Cup qualification pathway

But that is exactly what makes this series significant. This isn’t just about results, it’s about creating a case for inclusion in future ICC qualification cycles (2028 / 2030), building ranking credibility and stablishing bilateral structures in Europe among member nations.

Cyprus Cricket to host Austria Men for T20I series in March 2026

Cyprus Cricket Federation (CCF) will be hosting the Men’s National team of Austria for a four (4)-match T20 International series (with ICC T20I Team ranking points) from March 14th – 16th, 2026 at the Happy Valley Ground in Episkopi. This will mark the first ever meeting in T20Is for the teams, also making this the maiden bi-lateral series arrangement made between the two (2) cricket boards.

Both the Teams will be in action later this year in 2028 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Europe Sub-regional Qualifiers, with Cyprus Cricket set to host one (1) of the three (3) Sub-regional’s. Austria Men begin this year on the back of a highly successful 2025 season, where they won multiple bi-lateral series and three (3) multi-nation Tournaments (Central Europe Cup (in Czech Republic), Budapest Cup (in Hungary) and the Viking Cup (in Sweden)).

The series will mark the first-ever meeting in T20Is between the two (2) teams, and also being the maiden bi-lateral series arrangement done between the two (2) Cricket Boards.

Czechia Cricket will be hosting the Women’s National team of Cyprus for a five (5)-match T20 International series (with ICC team ranking points) from May 02nd – 04th, 2025 at the Vinor Cricket ground in Prague. Both teams will meet each other for the first time in the T20I format, and also makes this the maiden bi-lateral series arrangement between the two (2) cricket boards. Cyprus Women will also be playing their first-ever T20Is against Women’s teams from Jersey, Denmark and Isle of Man during the quadrangular series at home in April 2025, hence, they are definitely beginning to expand their reach in terms of playing against more opponents in the European region.

Cyprus Cricket to host Women’s Quadrangular T20I tournament in April 2025

Cyprus Cricket Federation (CyCF) will be hosting the Women’s National teams of Jersey, Isle of Man and Denmark in a Women’s Quadrangular T20 International tournament (with ICC ranking points) from April 17th – 21st, 2025. The tournament will provide competitive game-time for Jersey and Isle of Man teams, who will be travelling to Italy in May 2025 to compete in the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Europe Division 2 qualifier. The tournament will see both Denmark Women and Cyprus Women play their first-ever T20Is with all the other participants (including each other) in the tournament. Cyprus Women have also scheduled in a tour of Czechia in May 2025, to play their Women’s team for the first-time in T20Is in a five (5)-match maiden bi-lateral series.

Serbia Cricket to host Cyprus Women for T20I series in September 2024

Serbia Cricket Federation will be hosting the Women’s National team of Cyprus for a four (4)-match T20 International series (with ICC ranking points) on September 14th and 15th at the Lisiciji Jarak cricket ground in Belgrade for the inaugural edition of Avala Cup. This will be first-ever meeting in Women’s T20Is for both the teams, with Cyprus Women having made their debut only in June 2024 at home, and this will be their 2nd-ever bi-lateral series. Serbian Women’s team were previously seen in action during the inaugural edition of Women’s Valletta Cup tournament in Malta in August 2024.

Guernsey Cricket to host 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Europe Sub-regional Qualifier C in August 2024

Guernsey Cricket will be hosting the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Europe Sub-regional Qualifier ‘C’ from August 21st – 28th, 2024. Men’s National teams from host’s Guernsey will be joined by Spain, Denmark, Finland, Czech Republic, Malta, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Greece and Estonia in the 10-nation event. The tournament will have two (2) groups of five (5) teams each, competing in a single round-robin group stage format, from which the top team from both the groups will compete in the FINAL, while there will be position play-off games also scheduled till 7th/8th spots in the final standings from the tournament.

Men’s teams from host’s Guernsey, Bulgaria, Malta, Finland and Estonia are placed in one group, while the other group comprises of teams from Spain, Cyprus, Denmark, Czech Republic and Greece. The winner of the tournament will join Netherlands, Scotland, Italy (winner of sub-regional qualifier A) and Jersey (winner of sub-regional qualifier B) in the Europe Qualifier in 2025.

Cyprus Cricket to host Estonia Men and Women for T20I series in June 2024

Cyprus Cricket Federation (CyCF) will be hosting the Men’s and Women’s National team of Estonia for bi-lateral T20I series from June 15th – 19th, each comprising of six (6) matches at the two (2) pitches at Happy Valley cricket ground in Limassol. The Men’s teams will also be playing T10 matches before the T20I series on June 15th and 16th, while the Cyprus Women’s team will be making their debut in the T20I format with ICC rankings points on offer during their series.

Estonia Men have toured Cyprus previously in October 2021, when they took part in a Tri-series tournament, also featuring the Isle of Man team. Both Estonia and Cyprus Men will be competing in the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Europe Sub-regional Qualifier in Guernsey in August, and the bi-lateral series will be part of their preparations towards it.
