Portugal Men to tour Sweden and Finland in July 2026

Cricket Portugal have scheduled back-to-back International tours in the month of July 2026 for the Men’s National team, who will be preparing themselves for the upcoming 2028 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Europe Sub-regional Qualifier C tournament in Finland later in August. The Men’s team will be heading to Stockholm to play a three (3)-match T20 International series (with ICC T20I team ranking points) on July 01st and 02nd, 2026.

The team will then immediately leave for Kerava to play against Finland Men, and will play a five (5)-match T20 International series (with ICC T20I team ranking points) from July 03rd – 05th, 2026. Both these series will mark the first-ever meeting in T20Is between Portugal & Sweden, and Portugal & Finland, hence making both the series the first bi-lateral arrangements made between the Cricket Boards involved.

Cricket Sweden to host 2nd edition of Men’s Viking Cup in June 2026

Cricket Sweden will be hosting the Men’s National Teams of Finland, Norway and Austria in the second (2nd) edition of Viking Cup from June 11th – 14th, 2026 at the Botkyrka Cricket Center ground in Stockholm. Austria Men are the Defending Champions from the inaugural edition hosted last year, where they won against Norway in the Final.

The event will mark the first international tournament organized by the European Cricket Association (ECA) as part of its finalized international schedule for the year. Their schedule for this year also includes the inaugural editions of European Championships for Men, Women, and the Under-19 category.

Established in 2024 during the ICC Annual General Meeting in Colombo, the ECA now comprises fourteen (14) Associate Cricket Boards from across the region as its members. The founding Cricket Boards in the ECA were France Cricket, Romania, Malta, Jersey, Austria and Italy.

Cyprus Cricket to host Finland Men for T20I series in May 2026

Cyprus Cricket Federation (CCF) will be hosting the Men’s National team of Finland for a four (4)-match T20 International series (with ICC Men’s T20I team ranking points) on May 08th and 09th, 2026 at the Happy Valley Ground in Episkopi. This will be the maiden bi-lateral series arrangement done by the boards, as Cyprus Men’s team will conclude their preparations towards the 2028 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Europe Sub-regional Qualifier A at home in May.

Finland Men, who themselves will be the host Nation in Europe Sub-regional Qualifier C in August, will begin their International season with this series. Both the Teams have met only once in T20Is till date, and that came during the European Sub-regional Qualifier in July 2022 in Finland.

Having already hosted the Austrian Team for a T20I series in March, Cyprus Men have prepared well for this home event, where they will face the tournament favorites, Jersey, in their group.

Denmark Cricket to host Women’s Nordic Cup tournament in August 2025

Danish Cricket Federation (DCF) will be hosting the Women’s National teams of Finland, Norway, Sweden and Germany in the Women’s Nordic Cup tournament (with ICC team ranking points) from August 29th – 31st, 2025 at grounds at Ishøj and Albertslund. All the teams will play each other in a single round-robin group stage format. Germany Women will be making their debut in the Nordic Cup tournament, and will play their first-ever T20Is with their opponents in the tournament (except Sweden). Denmark Women are the Defending Champions from the previous edition of the tournament.

Estonia Cricket to host Finland and Switzerland Men for T20I series in July/August 2025

Estonian Cricket (EC) will be hosting the Men’s National teams of Finland and Switzerland respectively for three (3)-match T20 International series (with ICC team ranking points) in the months of July and August 2025 at the Estonian National Cricket & Rugby Ground in Tallinn. Finland Men will be playing their bi-lateral series from July 25th – 27th, 2025 and Switzerland Men will be playing their bi-lateral series on August 02nd and 03rd. The match between Estonia and Finland on 26th July will be part of the Baltic Cup tournament, also featuring Latvia and Lithuania, which is played on an Annual basis.

Estonia Cricket to host Baltic Cup Tournament in July 2025

Estonian Cricket Association (ECA) will be hosting the Men’s National teams of Finland, Latvia and Lithuania in the 2025 edition of the Baltic Cup tournament on July 26th and 27th, 2025. While Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania have been competing in the Annual event since 2021, Finland Men’s Team will be making their debut in the tournament this year, which has seen participation from Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) in the last year’s edition. Estonia Men are the Defending Champions from last year’s edition.

The match between Estonia and Finland on 26th July is also part of the bi-lateral series between the two (2) teams, which is going to be a three (3) match series.

Danish Cricket Federation (DCF) will be hosting the Men’s National teams of Finland, Norway and Sweden for the Nordic Cup T20I series from June 13th – 15th, 2025. Men’s team of Norway are the Defending Champions from last year’s edition hosted by Cricket Finland, where Denmark fielded their development team. This year, the Swedish team re-enter the competition, after giving it a miss last year.

Guernsey Cricket to host 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Europe Sub-regional Qualifier C in August 2024

Guernsey Cricket will be hosting the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Europe Sub-regional Qualifier ‘C’ from August 21st – 28th, 2024. Men’s National teams from host’s Guernsey will be joined by Spain, Denmark, Finland, Czech Republic, Malta, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Greece and Estonia in the 10-nation event. The tournament will have two (2) groups of five (5) teams each, competing in a single round-robin group stage format, from which the top team from both the groups will compete in the FINAL, while there will be position play-off games also scheduled till 7th/8th spots in the final standings from the tournament.

Men’s teams from host’s Guernsey, Bulgaria, Malta, Finland and Estonia are placed in one group, while the other group comprises of teams from Spain, Cyprus, Denmark, Czech Republic and Greece. The winner of the tournament will join Netherlands, Scotland, Italy (winner of sub-regional qualifier A) and Jersey (winner of sub-regional qualifier B) in the Europe Qualifier in 2025.

Norwegian Cricket Federation (NCF) will be hosting the Women’s National teams from Finland, Denmark, Estonia and Guernsey in the Women’s Nordic Cup 2024 tournament in Oslo from August 09th – 11th, 2024 at grounds located in Ekeberg (2 grounds). This will be the third (3rd) edition of the Women’s Nordic Cup, with Sweden Women being the winners of both the previous editions held in 2022 and 2023, but are not participating in this year’s edition. Guernsey Women will be making their debut in the Nordic Cup tournament.

Cricket Finland will be hosting the Men’s Nordic Cup T20 tournament from June 14th – 16th, 2024 at the Kerava National cricket ground. The host’s team will compete in the tournament with Men’s National team of Norway and Denmark ‘A’ team (The Danish National team will be hosting the Jersey Men’s team for a bi-lateral T20I series at home at the same time). The matches between Denmark A and Norway/Finland will be regular T20 games, while the matches between Norway and Finland will be contested with ICC team ranking points.
