Hong Kong squad will travel to Namibia to play a series of three (3) matches in the 50-overs format, before heading to Uganda from June 16th – 28th for the 2nd round of CWC Challenge League group B (Fixtures) tournament. Hong Kong will play five (5) List-A matches during the Challenge League group B event against the host’s, Jersey, Bermuda, Kenya and Italy. The squad led by Nizakat Khan also sees former Captains and seasoned campaigners Babar Hayat and Jamie Atkinson back with the group for the all-important competition in Uganda, which is the qualification pathway tournament towards 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup in India.

Head Coach Trent Johnston said in the press release “I am really excited by this squad and the opportunity to see them play international cricket for the first time since March 2020. The squad has a slightly different look with the addition of Yasim Murtaza, Zeeshan Ali and Daniel Pascoe who have all now qualified to play for Hong Kong, their experience is an invaluable addition. In contrast we have two exciting young pace bowlers in Ayush Shukla and Vikas Sharma touring with the men’s squad for the first time. It will also be Nizakat’s first tour as captain. His leadership is going from strength to strength and I am looking forward to seeing him lead this squad.”
