USA men’s national squad have begun their preparations towards the upcoming ICC World Cricket League Division 2 in Apr 2019 in Namibia, with a series of practice matches in their Caribbean camp in Antigua.
The practice games being played so far have been mostly inter-squad matches with a solitary match against Antigua XI. USA will be competing in Division 2 against Namibia, Hong Kong, Canada, Oman & Papua New Guinea for 4 ODI spots and place in 2023 CWC League 2 Championships.
USA had earned their promotion from WCL Division 3 in Oman in Nov 2018 after finishing runners-up to host’s Oman in the 6-nation tournament also featuring Kenya, Singapore, Uganda and Denmark. The remaining team’s in the tournament have been relegated to 2023 CWC Challenge League A & B respectively.
