Third WGDS to feature German, PNG, USA, Scottish and Dutch players

ICC’s Women’s Global Development Squad is back again for it’s third installment, with matches scheduled England Women’s Academy and KIA Super League team’s, Surrey Stars and Southern Vipers, on their tour of UK from Jul 29th – Aug 02nd, 2019.

The squad will be led by Pakistan’s Javeria Khan and includes players from Bangladesh, Ireland, Netherlands, Scotland, Papua New Guinea, USA and Germany. The WGDS tour of UK is being organised in association with the ECB. The two previous programmes were held in Australia (Nov 2018) and UK (July 2018).

The programme will provide ample opportunity for Bangladesh, Ireland, Netherlands, Scotland, Papua New Guinea & USA members in the squad to play high-profile matches before ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifiers, due to be held in Scotland from 31st Aug – 07th Sep 2019.

29th July: 2xT20’s WGDS v England Women’s Academy @ Cranleigh CC, Surrey (10:30am & 01:30pm)

31st July: 2xT20’s WGDS v Southern Vipers (10:30am) & WGDS v Surrey Stars (01:30) @ Aldershot CC, Hampshire

02nd August: 2xT20’s WGDS v Surrey Stars (10:30am) & WGDS v Southern Vipers (01:30pm) @ New Malden, Surrey
