The Schedule for the 2nd edition of Global T20 (GT20) Canada have been announced and the opening fixture will see the defending champions Vancover Knights take on Toronto Nationals at the CAA Centre in Brampton.
Vacouver Kights, Toronto Natioals, Edmonton Royals, Winnipeg Hawks and Montreal Tigers will be joined by Brampton Wolves (replacing West Indies “B” from the inaugural edition in 2018) in the 2nd edition of the frachise-based T20 league in Canada.
The player draft was held on 20th Jun 2019 and all the squads were selected from the 1000+ players, who had registered for the player draft. Each team picked three marquee players (International Full member players) along with four other full member picks, five picks inclusive of four ICC Associate member players and one mandatory ICC Americas region member player and five players from Cricket Canada roster (International and domestic).
As per the playing XI rules for the 2nd edition, each team will field five full member players (inclusive of marquee players), two Canada players, one ICC Americas region member player and three ICC Associate member players.
