Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) have signed a major broadcast deal with DSport for the inaugural edition of Afghanistan Premier League (APL T20) with media rights awarded in the Indian territory for the production house.
The inaugural season of Afghanistan Premier League is scheduled to take place from 05th – 21st October 2018 at Sharjah Cricket Stadium in UAE and player draft is scheduled to take place on 10th Sep 2018 in Dubai.
Nepal publication MyRepublica have noted that a number of Associate players have registered themselves for the draft and will be hoping to be picked up from the “ICC Associate” category kept for the draft among other categories.
Over 350+ players from 10 Full member countries (Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, West Indies, South Africa, Australia, England, Ireland and Zimbabwe) and 6 Associate countries (UAE, Scotland, Hong Kong, Oman, Nepal and Canada) have registered for the players draft.
Morelli Sports FZC, Plus Capital Ltd, SB Sports, VRock Mobiles and MS Legendary Man Entertainment have brought the franchises for Kabul, Nangarhar, Kandahar, Paktia and Balkh respectively.
