Northern Territory Cricket (NT Cricket) will be hosting the fourth (4th) edition of the Top End T20 Series in Darwin from 14th – 24th August, 2025, across five (5) venues, namely including DXC Arena, TIO Stadium, Gardens Oval, Cazaly’s Arena and Freds Pass. Four (4) International cricket teams will travel to Darwin to compete alongside 6 inter-state domestic teams and the NT Strike, with a record 36 T20 fixtures to be played during the tournament’s duration.
Nepal Men’s team will have further fixtures against Cricket ACT team (T20s) and South Australia team (T20s and 50-overs) after the completion of the Top End T20 tournament, before returning back home and continue their preparations towards 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Asia/East Asia-Pacific Qualifiers.
NT Cricket CEO, Gavin Dovey “We created the Top End T20 Series in 2021 as part of a national winter cricket concept, Cricket 365, that showcases the Territory as the only place in Australia that plays cricket all year round. The event has grown exponentially since then. We’ve more than doubled the number of teams participating, we’ve welcomed international teams from across the globe, and we’ve watched our broadcast audience increase threefold from 4mn people to over 12mn total viewers.”
Nepal Men’s National team will be competing in the 4th edition of the event, which has earlier seen National team of Papua New Guinea (PNG) take part in the first two (2) editions, and has also seen participation from A team of Pakistan and Bangladesh, who will join again in this year’s edition. The winners of the US Minor League Cricket (MiLC) tournament, Chicago Kingsmen Franchise, have also been confirmed as the 4th International team in the competition. Hobart Hurricanes Academy, Perth Scorchers Academy, Adelaide Strikers Academy, Melbourne Stars Academy, Melbourne Renegades Academy, ACT Comets and NT Strike will be local teams taking part in the competitive alongside the International Franchise/Countries.
