Two new faces in squad for Division 2 announced by Nepal selectors

The Nepal selection committee comprising of National head coach Jagat Tamatta, captain Paras Khadka and ACC represntative, announced the 14-member squad that will take part in the all-important ICC WCL Division 2 in Namibia from Feb 08th – 15th, 2018.

Two new faces are included in the squad which looks like this: Paras Khadka (Captain), Gyanendra Malla, Shakti Gauchan, Basant Regmi, Sharad Vesawkar, Sompal Kami, Karan KC, Arif Seikh, Dipendra Singh Airee, Sandeep Lamichhane, Dilip Nath, Lalit Bhandari, Anil Sah & Rohit Paudel

Nepal will compete against UAE, Kenya, Namibia, Oman & Canada for the final 2 spots for the World Cup Qualifiers. The schedule for the 6-team Division 2 can be found here.

Nepal squad will be traveling to UAE to play practice matches before leaving for Namibia from there. Finish in the top 4 is the first priority for Nepal as any lower finish will relegate them to ICC WCL Division 3.
