Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) have announced a 14-member squad to take on Afghanistan in their final ICC Intercontinental Cup match from Nov 29th – Dec 02nd, 2017 at Sheikh Zayed International Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
Zayed Abbas, Emirates Cricket Spokesperson said in an official statement on ECB website, emiratescricket.com ; “Our 2015 – 2017 ICC I-Cup campaign has provided us with varied fortunes and results. Throughout our campaign we have been very encouraged with our players attitude and have thoroughly enjoyed watching them develop their skills and fitness. This is our final match in the series and it is our aim to post a strong result against Afghanistan to close out our campaign.”
To prepare themselves for the longer format version of the game for Associates, UAE will be playing a 2-day warm up match against Ireland at the ICC Academy from Nov 24th – 25th, 2017.
