Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) have announced the squad that will take part in the ACC U-19 Asia Cup Western Region Qualifiers, which will be held in Malaysia from October 30th – November 8th, 2017.
Waleed Bukhatir, Emirates Cricket Board Member and Chief Selector said; “Our U19 boys have been under preparation for this qualifying tournament throughout the Summer months.”
“Our coaching team are very encouraged by the development and progress they have seen, and are confident this team will achieve our goal of winning the tournament, and participating in the Asia Cricket Council’s U19 Asia Cup (commencing November 10th).”
U-19 teams from UAE, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, Maldives, Bahrain & Iran will compete for the lone qualification spot from the Western region Qualifiers to join the main event, scheduled to be held in Malaysia from November 9th, 2017.
UAE, Oman & Bahrain are placed in Group A while Kuwait, Iran, Qatar & Maldives are placed in Group B of the competition.
