Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) have announced that the Women’s national squad will be competing in a 4-match WT20I series against the visiting team from Hong Kong from April 27th – 30th, 2022 at the the Malek Ground in Ajman. The series is being sponsored by SkyExchange.net, and will have a global broadcast coverage through Television, Streaming channels and Social Media platforms.
This will be the first meeting between both the teams after their previous meeting in UAE last year during the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Asia qualifiers, from which UAE Women qualified for the global qualifiers. While Hong Kong Women have had no other International assignment post that event, UAE Women were recently involved in a 6-nation GCC Women’s T20I Tournament in Oman, in which they emerged as Champions.
After the completion of the series, some of the Hong Kong players will stay back to participate in the inaugural edition of Fairbreak Global Women’s Invitational T20 tournament in May 2022, which is hosted by Cricket Hong Kong (CHK) in Dubai.
