Uganda Cricket Association (UCA) have announced the senior men’s squads for their upcoming tours of Qatar and India in Feb 2020. The upcoming tours are in preparation for a busy period for Uganda, as they take part in the inaugural ACA T20 Africa Cup in Kenya in Mar 2020 and then host the 2nd round of CWC Challenge League Group B in Jul 2020 and also take part in the 2021 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Africa sub-regional qualifiers in Rwanda.
Uganda will play three T20I’s during their tour of Qatar from Feb 12th – 15th, while the India leg of the tour will be from Feb 16th – 26th, where the squad will be based at Param Veer Academy at Sanjay Farm in Chikhli, Gujarat, after playing two 40-overs games in Mumbai. The squad will play further four 40-overs games while at Sanjay Farm. Uganda will also play two 50-overs matches against Qatar President’s XI on 11th and 14th Feb, as part of their tour.
This will be the first assignment with the national squad for interim head coach Davis Turinawe, who will be assisted by Jackson Ogwang.
