Uganda U19 squad announced for Africa Qualifiers in Rwanda

Uganda Cricket Association (UCA) have announced their 20-member U19 men’s squad for the upcoming ICC U19 Cricket World Cup Africa qualifiers to be hosted by Rwanda Cricket from September 28th – October 07th, 2021 at Gahanga International Cricket Stadium in Kigali.

Uganda U19 team will be competing with Namibia, Tanzania, Rwanda and Nigeria for the lone qualification spot into the main draw of U19 World Cup in West Indies in 2022. ICC has already cancelled the Americas, Asia and East Asia-Pacific U19 regional qualifiers on account of COVID-19 pandemic logistical and safety issues, with Africa and Europe regional events still going ahead as planned.

Uganda U19 squad will play games against visting team from Kaduna State (Nigeria) in September to continue their preparations for the qualifiers.
