Uganda Cricket Association (UCA) will be organizing the 2nd edition of the Waterfalls T20 Elite League tournament from February 01st – 04th, 2024 for Women’s, and from February 05th – 11th, 2024 for Men’s at Lugogo Cricket Oval ground. Following the success of the inaugural edition of the T20 league in 2023, the 2nd edition will also see overseas players from Kenya, Nigeria and Rwanda take part in the tournament alongside Uganda National squad members and other domestic circuit players. Itanda Kayakers (Men’s) and Sipi Trekkers (Women’s) franchise are the Defending Champions from the inaugural edition held in 2023.
Four teams, namely Bujjagali Rafters, Itanda Kayakers, Sipi Trekkers and Karuma Rapids (to make their debut in the Men’s tournament) will be fielding teams for the tournament. The overseas players already signed up for the Women’s teams are Josaine Nyirakunde (Rwanda) and Lavender Idhambo (Kenya) for Sipi Trekkers, Esiegbe Favour (Nigeria), Immaculate Muhawenimana (Rwanda) and Etim Sarah (Nigeria) for Itanda Kayakers, Lucky piety (Nigeria) and Faith Kiara Muthoni (Kenya) for Bujjagali Rafters.
