Domestic Franchises from South Africa and Australia join 4th edition of Japan Women’s Premier League

Japan Cricket Association (JCA) will be hosting the fourth (4th) edition of the Women’s Premier League competition from May 25th to 31st, at the Sano International Cricket Ground. This year’s edition will see the addition of a new team, making it a four (4)-team event. Domestic franchise team from Australia, ACT Meteors, will be joining the Titans franchise team from South Africa, with teams of Mamushi (Defending Champions from the 3rd edition of the tournament) and Pacific Rays.

Japan Women will have a busy International calendar this year, that includes the Asian Games 2026 competition, and the JWPL (Japan Women’s Premier League) will give the opportunity for the domestic/international players to play alongside overseas professionals from Australia, South Africa and other Full members.
