Malaysia to host inaugural Super Women League for Associates

Malaysian Cricket Association (MCA) have announced the launch of the inaugural Super Women League tournament, with players from 5 Associate member (excluding Malaysia) countries to take part in the event.

Malaysian Super Women League will take place from 28th Dec 2019 – 02nd Jan 2020 and all the matches will be played at Kinrara Oval. Four teams will be competing in the inaugural edition, namely Southern Jaguars, Northern Queens, Eastern Lioness & Central Super Girls. 27 Malaysian national/domestic players along with 25 invited players from 6 countries namely Australia, Vanuatu, Singapore, Myanmar, Indonesia & Thailand will be taking part in the event, with squads built around them.

MCA will be live streaming the matches from the event on their Facebook page. All team’s will play each other in the single round-robin group stage format, before the top 2 team’s battle it out in the final on 02nd Jan 2020.

Vanuatu national squad players Selina Solman, Valenta Langiatu and Nasimana Navaika will be taking part in the tournament. Indonesia’s Yulia Anggraeni and Kadek Winda Prastini, who created the Women’s T20I World record for 250-runs partnership against Philippines in their bi-lateral T20I series on 21st Dec 2019, will also be part of the event.
