Pakistani world record-holding all-rounder Sohail Tanvir returns to Hong Kong in February after signing up for City Kaitak to play in the Hong Kong T20 Blitz. Tanvir captained Pakistan in the finals of the recently concluded Hong Kong World Sixes tournament in October.
“I am happy to be a part of City Kaitak for the Blitz and look forward to playing in Hong Kong again. Hong Kong is a great place where cricket is developing well,” said Sohail.
“We are delighted to have Sohail Tanvir with City Kaitak,” said City Kaitak owner Sushil Kumar. “Sohail is a top T20 player with a world record to his name. He will surely raise the standard of the tournament.”
City Kaitak, losing finalist from the previous edition has already picked up Anshuman Rath and Jamie Atkinson from the domestic players draft and have retained Aizaz Khan and Waqas Barkat from the previous edition.
Tanvir etched his name into the record books with a spell of 5/3 in 4 overs in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) in 2017.
