Cricket Scotland to host Zimbabwe for T20I series in September

Cricket Scotland (CS) will be hosting the men’s national squad from Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) for a 3-match T20I series in September 2021. The series will take place after Zimbabwe’s tour of Ireland is completed and will be part of Scotland’s preparations towards 2021 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Oman and UAE in October/November. The first bi-lateral tour between the two countries took place in 2017, when Zimbabwe toured Scotland for a 2-match ODI series in Edinburgh.

The three (3) T20Is will take place on 15th, 17th and 19th September at Grange cricket club in Edinburgh. Scotland players have been playing domestic cricket at home in the regional tournaments, and many of the national squad and expanded squad members have been playing in England in the Vitality Blast, Royal London One-Day Cup and The Hundred competitions.

Scotland men’s squad will travel to Oman after the completion of the series to play their next set of ODI Tri-series as part of 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup qualification pathway program, CWC League 2 competition from September 25th – October 02nd against the host’s and Papua New Guinea (PNG).
