USA Cricket sanctioned domestic T20 franchise-based competition, 2021 Atlanta Open T20, starts from 14th October 2021 at the Atlanta Cricket Fields venue in Cumming. The 15-team competition sees three (3) groups of five (5) teams each, with all teams playing each other in a single round-robin group stage format, following the conclusion of which the top eight (8) teams will advance to the quarterfinals stage, with the final scheduled to take place on 17th October 2021.
Much like the earlier organized Houston Open T20 tournament at the Prairie View Cricket complex in Houston, the Atlanta Open T20 tournament also sees a lot of International players in action, with overseas participation from the West Indies, Canada, Sri Lanka and Pakistan, who will play alongside the US national squad players and other domestic players. Atlanta Fire and Atlanta Param Veers are the two (2) teams in the competition, who were in action during the inaugural edition of 2021 Minor League Cricket Championships.
Group A of the competition comprises of teams from ACF Falcons, Edison Cricket Club, LA Titans, Unity Cricket Club and Vibes Destroyers. Group B of the competition comprises of teams from Brampton Pacers, Men in Blue, Atlanta Param Veers, SAMP Army and Southeast United, while Group C of the competition comprises of teams from Atlanta Fire, Kings XI Club, Lightning Club, Prairie View Hurricanes and RDU Army.
