Cricket Kenya to host Nepal Men’s team for T20I/OD series in August 2022

Cricket Kenya (CK) will be hosting the Men’s national squad of Nepal in a bi-lateral series from August 25th – September 05th, 2022, comprising of five (5) T20I matches and three (3) matches in the 50-overs format. The discussions took place during CK Chairman Manoj Patel’s visit to Nepal in the first week or August.

The series will be the first assignement for Nepal teams new head coach Manoj Prabhakar, who took over the role recently, following the departure of the previous coach Pubudu Dassanayeke last month. Cricket Kenya are currently trying to give the domestic cricket circuit a facelift by collaborating with broadcast partners and introduce the D20/D10 format competitions, which have been a success in UAE and Oman. The first edition of Kenya D10 tournament begins from 13th August 2022 and will feature the national players alongside other domestic players currently playing in NPCA (Nairobi Provincial Cricket Association) tournaments, that included the T20 league held in February and the current ongoing 50-overs league.

    Which are the grounds, these matches are happening ?

      Cricket Kenya have four (4) grounds with accreditation for ODI/T20I matches. Most likely, the matches will take place at the venues managed by NPCA (Nairobi Provincial Cricket Association).
