Schedule and Warm-up Fixtures announced for 2022 U19 Cricket World Cup

The groups, full schedule and warm-up games fixtures for 2022 ICC U19 Cricket World Cup in West Indies has been announced by International Cricket Council, with the main draw tournament matches taking place across venues in Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana and St Kitts & Nevis from January 14th – February 05th. All the participants will play their two (2) official warm-up fixtures from January 09th – 12th prior to the start of the main draw.

The top 11 teams from the 2020 edition of the World Cup in South Africa were joined by the winners of the five regional qualifiers (Ireland, Papua New Guinea, Canada, United Arab Emirates and Uganda) in the main draw of the tournament, however New Zealand withdrew due to the extensive mandatory quarantine restrictions for minors on their return home and have been replaced by Scotland. The top two (2) teams in each group at the end of single round-robin group stage format will advance to the quarterfinals stage of the tournament, while the bottom two (2) teams from each group will contest in the Plate Championships to decide the final positions in the 16-team event.

Afghanistan U19 squads two warm-up matches have been cancelled due to delays in obtaining the necessary visas for the squad, and hence England U19 will now play UAE U19 at Conaree Cricket Centre on 11 January as part of the warm-up schedule.

Group C: Pakistan U19, Afghanistan U19, Zimbabwe U19 and Papua New Guinea U19

Plate and Super League fixtures to take place between 25 January and 4 February at the Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Ground and Coolidge Cricket Ground in Antigua and Barbuda and Brian Lara Cricket Academy , Queens Park Oval and Diego Martin Sporting Complex  in Trinidad and Tobago.

    2007 World Cup…i had been to Trinidad to have exhibition of my portraits in Port of Spain at India House. 25 Portraits of Batting legend Sachin Tendulkar.
    I have done a series of 40 alltime West Indies greatest Cricketers.
    Have also done a series of 15 portraits of Brian Lara. Long time ago i had met Mr Lara in India. He had promised me that if and when in come to Trinidad for my exhibition, he would be happy to inaugurate my exhibition.
