USA Cricket have announced that they will be hosting the U19 Women’s team from the West Indies for a five (5)-match bi-lateral T20I series at the Broward County Stadium in Florida from August 08th – 14th, 2022. With both the countries set to take part in the 2023 ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup in South Africa, this series presents a good opportunity to prepare the squad members for a busy schedule early next year, and will be the first T20I youth matches for both the teams.
The series continues the collaboration between CWI (Cricket West Indies) and USA Cricket, which saw the USA U19 Women’s team take part in the Rising Stars U19 Women’s Championship in July 2022 in in Trinidad and Tobago, where they emerged victorious after remaining unbeaten throughout the group stages of the tournament and registered wins over the likes of Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, Leeward Islands, Trinidad & Tobago and Windward Islands.
