Belize Cricket to host 2023 Central American Championships in April

Belize Cricket Association (BCA) will be hosting the Eighth (8th) edition of the Men’s Central American Championships from April 27th – May 01st, 2023. National teams from Mexico Cricket, Costa Rica Cricket and Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) will be joined by two (2) teams fielded by Belize Cricket in the tournament, which will be played in a single round-robin group stage format, before the Finals day on 30th April. The tournament will be the first overseas tour being taken by the MCC Men’s team in 2023, and will continue the teams consistent appearance in the Central American event over the past two (2) editions.

The Central American Championships were postponed in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19 pandemic situation, with the last edition being held in Mexico in April 2019, where all the teams mentioned above competed for the Title (along with Panama), with the matches between the Associate member countries played with ranking points. Belize Men’s team are the defending Champions from the 2019 edition, after winning the Final against the MCC team, while MCC team were the winners of the previous edition held in Belize in 2017.

      Right now, we only have the schedule for the group stage matches. As and when a Final game is updated in the schedule in Cricheroes app, we will update the same on our social media profiles and in the article.
