Netherlands Cricket to host 2024 ICC U19 Men’s World Cup Europe Qualifier in August

Koninklijke Nederlandse Cricket Bond (KNCB) have been awarded the hosting rights for the 2024 edition of ICC U19 Men’s World Cup Europe Division 1 qualifier tournament, and it will take place from August 06th – 12, 2023. The six (6) nation event will see U19 teams from Netherlands, Scotland, Jersey, Italy, Guernsey and Norway compete for the lone qualification spot into the main event of the World Cup in Sri Lanka.

U19 teams of Italy, Guernsey and Norway qualified from the Division 2 qualifier tournament held in Guernsey in August 2022. Scotland U19 team were the previous participant in the U19 World Cup held in 2022 from the European region, having replaced New Zealand in the competition, after they withdrew from the event. In the lead-up to the tournament, all the teams have started playing International games to prepare for it, with Netherlands U19 playing at home in July 2023 in the Euro U19 Quadrangular series featuring Denmark U19 as well, while Scotland U19 and Jersey U19 teams played bi-lateral One-day series against Ireland U19 in July (vs Scotland U19) and August (vs Jersey U19) respectively.
